Do you have trouble balancing on one leg? You're not alone! Remember that your foot, knee and hip joints all affect each other. For example, if you have flat feet, it could be a sign that the gluteus medius, the muscle on the outside of your hip that splays your leg, is weak.

But that's not all: Both the gluteus medius and the adductors, your inner thigh muscles, are responsible for stabilizing the thigh bone in the hip socket – so both muscles must be strong and balanced.

Bottom line: Build strength in your feet, gluteus medius and adductors to improve your balance.
