Microsoft has officially confirmed that the /"Core Packs" for Windows Server and SQL Server are not single, unbreakable licenses, but rather packages containing multiple single-core licenses. We have been actively promoting this fact for some time. This clarification is a win for consumers and a loss for those who may have unfairly exploited the previous ambiguity.
