Starbucks reported a 3% decline in global comparable-store sales on July 30, 2024, and missed revenue expectations by $130 million in its fiscal third-quarter earnings. The company's stock price has fallen nearly 25% over the past year. This is all due to operational challenges, an increasingly price-conscious consumer, and boycotts related to the war between Israel and Hamas. Still, the coffee giant accounted for more than 25% of the U.S. coffee and snack market in 2023.
