What tasks should you take on in customer service?

You need to know who your customers are.
Which channels do they use? Do they prefer email? Or do they prefer LiveChat? You need to find out which customer service channels your customers prefer. You can do this in a number of ways. For example, you can add a question at the end of your conversation with a customer or send your surveys via email.

Create an FAQ page
I recommend asking your customer service team what questions are asked most frequently. This will save you a lot of time and help you know what to put on your FAQ page.

Nowadays, it is important that your customers have multiple ways to contact you. Most people try to message you via social media, email, or sometimes even call you. So an old contact form is not enough in modern customer service.

We live in the 21st century, and when you talk to a business, you should no longer feel like you're waiting for a package of candy from your foreign friend on the other side of the world.

Personalization is also important
Personalization is another key factor in good customer service. You don't necessarily need to know what your customer had for lunch today to personalize your communication.
Rather, it is about talking to them like a friend, calling them by name and remembering their past purchases in order to recommend new products or services.

Don’t promise too much
I know a lot of companies want to sell the dream experience, but you don't want to promise a glass slipper when you know all you'll have is plastic ones.
Only promise what you can keep.

Train your customer service team
Your customer service team represents your brand, so it's no surprise that a lot of training is required and there are many key skills to look for when hiring your customer service team.
