Software licensing is a contract between the software publisher and the end user, sometimes referred to as an End User License Agreement or EULA. Although licensing can be in written form, most often it is embedded in the software itself as part of the installation process. If the user does not agree to the software's license terms, they can indicate this by clicking, which will abort the installation process. In most cases, end users click to agree, regardless of whether they have actually read the license or not.
