What is drip marketing?
Drip marketing is a marketing strategy that involves breaking any type of marketing communication (emails, phone calls, social media posts, brochures or printed leaflets, etc.) into a series of “drips” that are distributed over a period of time.
It has many different names – drip marketing, automated email campaign, lifecycle emails, autoresponders and marketing automation.

Some of the tasks for which marketing automation has proven particularly effective:
-Lead Nurturing
-Greeting
-Training
-Abandoned shopping carts

What are the key elements of an email drip campaign?
1 – Trigger
Triggers are the events that set your drip marketing campaign in motion by either causing a new lead to enter your pipeline or moving them further down the funnel.
2 – Conditions. Before engagement actions can begin, a number of predefined conditions must first be met.
Here are some examples:
– Sending an email once a lead clicks on a specific link;
– wait two days before sending the first email of the sequence.
3 – Actions
In drip marketing, actions refer to the actual engagement elements that create a connection between the company and its customers. Depending on the type of drip marketing, these actions can take the form of emails, SMS messages, direct messages on social media or push notifications, etc.

How to run an email drip campaign?

1 – Identify your target audience
First, you need to get a picture of your target audience: it's essential to find out who they are, what they want (including what they don't know they want), and how they behave. Drip marketing is based on two types of trigger-based segmentation. You can segment the audience either by action triggers or by demographic triggers.
2 – Formulate your message
At this point, you need to start drafting your first emails. The content of your emails will depend on the goals of your campaign. You should be able to answer the question of what you want the recipients of your emails to do.
3 – Plan your campaign
At this point, your messages should be ready and waiting to be sent. The task now is to make sure they all flow together and don't contradict each other.
4 – Start the campaign
Once everything is ready, you can launch the campaign and start sending emails.
Here's a little pro tip: To get the best possible results and significantly increase your productivity, start your campaign using a CRM software. Since we're talking about email drip marketing, the best option is of course a Gmail-based CRM system like NetHunt CRM. Sign up for a trial, it's free for 14 days. https://pxlme.me/fsq1qG2m
5 – Evaluate initial results and calibrate the campaign accordingly
Finally, you can evaluate your results. NetHunt CRM provides click and open rates for emails sent. It also lets you reorder segmentation groups in a targeted manner, so you can focus on customizing messages and rewrite them if they aren't producing the desired results.
