What was new in NIST CSF version 2.0? Removed the focus on critical infrastructure by removing those words right from the title because we want this to be applicable to all organizations of all industries and sizes. Added a 6th capability “Governance” which takes the importance of governance from a subset of the framework to its own capability alongside all the others. Re-categorized some categories and subcategories and improved language to allow better communication up and down stakeholders and also a little between technical and non-technical staff. We talked about how important this is and how helpful it is in improving cybersecurity outcomes. Also, there was a renewed focus on cybersecurity supply chain risk.
