After setting SteamVR's overall resolution to 48%, I was suddenly able to fly in DCS again! Before, my frame rate was around 10. Now it's around 60 fps on the Port Stanley map. Even in multiplayer, it hovers around that frame rate. I've set all my settings to high except shadows, which are on the lowest setting – but not disabled.
In il2 this means that I can fly with all graphics settings on "High" and achieve a frame rate of around 50 fps.
In comparison, my frame rate in il2 dropped by 20 fps when I tried OpenXR!
