There are the following types of peer review processes:

Single blind
– The identity of the reviewers is kept secret from the authors
-Freedom for reviewers to give honest comments

Double blind
-Identity of authors and reviewers remains secret
– Reduce the possibility of reviewer bias (related to gender, country, academic status, etc.).

Triple blindness
– The reviewers remain hidden from the authors, and the identity of the author also remains hidden from the reviewers and editors

Open review
The identities of the authors and reviewers are known.

Good qualities of appraisers:
-Submission of reports within the deadline
-Submission of a detailed report
-Productive comments to authors for improvement
– Exact decision of the publisher regarding publication

In a survey of over 4,000 researchers, most (84%) believed that without peer review there would be no control in scientific communication.
