We take a different design approach than most patio builders.

Posts are inserted into the ground in a plastic sleeve called a post protector. This saves soooo much time.

We taper our beam ends with a flat spot so we can clamp the beam in place with a clamp. We also install skirting boards – decking on edge – to cover the underside of the structure, keep out animals and provide an interesting focal point on the floor.

Spax #8 x 2 1/2 washer heads work great for this connection. And add a cable railing so the homeowner can enjoy the view and emphasize the upscale minimalist style of the home.
