Today's video is for beginners and will show you how to get airborne kills in War Thunder! The method in this video is future proof, so simple that even a newborn can use it and it will guarantee you a high number of kills! Just do what I say and don't worry about the physics behind everything because that's too boring! If you are a veteran or know these tactics, I ask you to watch the video and leave a comment on things I may have missed or things you would like to share with others!

In this example, I'm using the very first P-51 in the American tech tree, with a comfortable combat rating of 3.7! 4 20mm Hispanos are great for tearing planes apart, making this tactic easy!

The first step is to level up! I know it's boring, but as I mentioned in my How to Grind RP video, the longer the match, the bigger the reward!
If your plane is not climbing very well and is being overtaken by other planes like the 109, you should climb sideways!
Yes, I understand how boring this is, but do you want kills and progress or quick matches where you waste time with no reward? This gives you something to think about.

When climbing, take the time to set up the pull up and pull down controls as we will be using them for everything! Mine is set to shift and left controls. Also, make sure your WEP is turned on as we plan to use WEP all the time!

Your goal is to outflank all enemy fighters! 1.5 km above the enemy is a good value!
After that, the process is very simple: dive in, attack, reset and start again!
It's easy to perform and a no-brainer! If you're not sure when to reset, it's usually when you're 400-350 meters away from the opponent! But it really depends on your convergence and skill level.
The most important thing is to maintain discipline! Without self-control, everything else will collapse!

Now let's talk about convergence! How far should the range be? Of course, that depends entirely on your operational range! Set your convergence to 400 meters if you regularly attack at that distance! If you attack at 1 km or more, please do me a favor! Get out of here!

It's time to spice things up a bit! If you find yourself diving too fast to get a decent shot at your opponent and don't want to overshoot, here's a solution! Remember the pull-up and pull-down buttons we set up? Now it's time to use them! Like I said, the controls for me are Shift and L-Control!
If you feel like you're overshooting the mark, pull up, roll to the side using A or D (Q and D for the AZERTY keyboard users out there), and lunge at your opponent again! It's that simple!

Now comes the most important question of all!
What can I do to improve my aiming accuracy?
It's easy! Fire in short bursts and practice in a custom match! Compete against bots of your own rating and get started! Discover your plane's capabilities! When does it start racing? When should you turn? When should you rest? How do I shoot and control? What types of grenades do you prefer? All this takes place in a personalized battle that you command! There, no one can bother you! When you feel ready, join a match and put everything you've learned to the test! You'll gradually develop a feel for the plane and better instincts! With practice, it will all become second nature!
