Thank you Morning Brew for being my very first video sponsor. Anyone who has been following my channel for a while knows that I only work with brands that I use myself. It's completely free so there's no reason not to check it out at https://bit.ly/mbhowmoneyworks2.

Morning Brew has been the inspiration for many of my videos, so if you like my content, you'll love hers.

Video game developers are for-profit companies and often have shareholders they need to keep happy.

Selling a game once is great, but it means you can make a certain amount of money on a certain game market. There are exceptions, I somehow managed to buy Skyrim for PS3, PS4 and PC, but I don't like to talk about it.

The problem is that some people are only willing to spend $20 a month on video games, while others are happy to spend thousands.

The only way to truly maximize profit is to get every possible player to pay the highest possible amount they are individually willing to pay for a game.
