Monica Beckwith has been working with the Java Virtual Machine for more than a decade, not only optimizing JVM heuristics, but also improving just-in-time (JIT) code quality for various processor architectures, as well as working with garbage collectors and improving garbage collection for server systems.

During this talk, Monica will cover some JIT and runtime optimizations, look at HotSpot garbage collection, and give an overview of the different garbage collectors available in HotSpot.
