Nothing can be missed! Everything can be collected on the first playthrough. No upgrades are required. If you forget an item, you can collect it after the story in the chapter select or in the new game. You don't have to have all the collectibles in the same manual save. For the trophies, the only thing that matters is that the collectibles show as complete in the chapter select (they are saved in the profile save across all your playthroughs).
This walkthrough shows all collectibles per chapter (45 chapters total). There is a collectible tracker for each chapter in the main menu. Following this walkthrough will help you achieve 100% game completion and all collectible trophies.
