We often jump into different endeavors without knowing how to measure our success and improve our performance. No matter what you do, observing feedback can be very helpful, and this is where the feedback loop comes in.

The feedback loop is a simple process that starts with creating. Whether it's a product, a service, or an idea, the first step is often to create or build it. In general, it's helpful to create the smallest version possible that is still sufficient so you can validate or reject what you're working on.

The second step is to measure. Collect data and feedback, whether it's reviews, surveys, sales, or anything else that will help you assess what might need to be improved and worked on.

The last step is learning. Use the feedback you've collected to figure out if you should change things or just go all out with what you've created.

By following this cycle, you can ultimately transform uncertainties, assumptions and risks into knowledge and data that will ultimately lead you to tangible progress.
