Turtles are not boring, uninteresting animals, they are fascinating and actually a bit complex. There is still outdated information about turtle care and as the years go by, more and more people are raising them incorrectly because of it. Turtles have specific needs that can vary from species to species. These needs must be met when we keep them in captivity as pets, otherwise they become deformed or even die early. Why do their shells become lumpy? Why do their beaks get too long? Why do some of them just seem to fail?
