I've spent a lot of time and effort over the years learning from experienced investors who have already achieved success in their careers, and one of the things I really wanted to take away from these conversations is a concrete pattern in the advice of the most experienced industry veterans who have been through multiple cycles.

It's easy to look at the results of a pre-built financial model or a well-crafted investment memo and rely solely on the cash flow and return projections it contains. However, to be successful in the real estate business over the long term, using investment principles in addition to financial projections is an extremely important part of making profitable investment decisions.

To share some of the wisdom of some of the most successful real estate investors I know, in this video we'll go through three of the most powerful pieces of advice I've received over the years from the heads of some of the largest investment and development firms in the real estate industry.
