The BADMINTON HORSE TRAILS is one of the most prestigious equestrian competitions in the world. Horses and riders compete over 4 days, each day consisting of a different discipline. The first competition is a dressage test, demonstrating obedience, discipline, accuracy and elegance. Next they must prove their fitness, athleticism and stamina by completing a 4 mile cross country course within a set time, overcoming solid artificial and natural obstacles. Finally, competitors must complete a course of jumps within a set time, testing their agility and accuracy to demonstrate their health and ability to recover.
