For 2025, the Explorer gets a thorough makeover with updated bumpers, grilles, headlights, taillights and a major tech upgrade inside. But it's still the same size as before, while Toyota and GM have recently launched significantly roomier SUV competitors. Plus, Ford has ditched the Explorer's short-lived hybrid system, leaving only the 2.3-liter turbo and 3.0-liter turbo options under the hood.
