Brokerage firm TD Ameritrade will eliminate commissions on its online exchange-traded stock, ETF and options trades, dropping them from 6.95 to 0, effective Thursday, October 3. Customers who trade options will now pay 65 cents per contract, with no strike and assignment fees.
