Step-by-step guide to starting a continuous improvement program

Today I'm going to give you a step-by-step guide to starting a continuous improvement program. Why continuous improvement? When you follow the agile mindset in project delivery, you want to achieve the maximum result or gain the most value with the minimum effort. So if you use the 80-20 approach, you want to achieve 80% of your scope in the first iteration of your project. You might be able to achieve that when you run your pilot test.

In the second iteration, you want to deliver 96% of your scope. You might be able to roll out your project to all your end users. Then you still have 4% of the scope to deliver.

At this point, your project will likely be completed by the end of the year. And your resources, including your senior project managers, will be freed up to work on new projects in the new project cycle.
