This build guide consists mostly of an unedited video of the entire process, including all the moments where different things are tried out.
I'm on PC and using the Ship Builder Tolerance Tweaks mod which gives me a lot of ship part overlap and the ability to merge parts.
There are methods/glitches to do the same things on consoles (without mods), such as the flip and duplicate glitches (see links below).
However, the basic build method should be the same across all platforms.
