As a software developer, I'm always looking for new ways to improve the quality of my code. When I came across a set of rules for writing safety-critical code published by NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory (http://pixelscommander.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/12/P10.pdf), I was more than intrigued! The idea of writing software so robust that it can be trusted to launch rockets and put satellites into orbit was certainly exciting, so I tried to figure out how I could apply these rules to my own code. Although these rules were originally intended for code written in C, I've realized that we can turn some of them into general guidelines for any language our own projects are written in, like Python for the Raspberry Pi!
