If the room does not retract at all, proceed as follows: For an electronic manual override, locate the circuit board.
Press the "mode button" six times in quick succession, then a seventh time and hold it for about five seconds. Wait for the red and green lights to flash, then release the button. Go back inside and see if the switch on the control panel brings the room back in. If that doesn't work, you'll have to do it yourself. On the control board, unplug both motors. Now you can move the room in the direction you want. For larger walls, you may need help. Try to keep both sides straight as you slide the wall. Once the wall is in, plug both motors back into the control board. This will engage the brake for the motors and keep the room in position while you're on the move. In case you're unsuccessful in pushing the wall in, you'll see two button head screws on the outside and top of the sliding wall. Take those screws out. Lift each motor up about a half inch and put the screws back in. This will loosen the gears and make the wall easier to slide back in. Inside the bus, place something on the sliding space, such as a 2'x4' board. This will act as a brake. If you're running into problems and want to know exactly what's going on, look for error codes on the controller. Here's what the lights mean: For a motor-specific error, the green LED will flash once for Motor 1 and twice for Motor 2. The red LED will flash anywhere from two to nine times, depending on the error code. Here's how to decipher the number of flashes: 2 – Battery Failure: Battery capacity is so low that it drops below 6 volts during operation. 3 – Low Battery: Voltage below 8 volts at the start of the cycle. 4 High Battery: Voltage above 18 volts. 5 – Motor Current Too High: High amperage, also indicated by a constant jamming of one side of the rail. 6 Motor Short: Motor or wiring to the motor is shorted. 8 Hall Signal Not Present: Encoder is not providing a signal. Usually a wiring problem. 9 Hall power supply shorted to ground: Power to the encoder is shorted to ground. Usually a wiring problem. If you get an error code, you will need to reset the board. To do this, press the extend/retract buttons twice.
Once to reset, another time to return to normal use. If you are unable to resolve the issue or simply do not feel confident in troubleshooting, please contact your Thor Motor Coach dealer.
