What the heck, folks! Today I bring you a short video to show you a GTA IV that keeps the same colors as the original but with graphical improvements.
I had the idea to make this video because in videos where GTA IV is remastered with mods, we see that the game doesn't have its /"gray filter/". This filter makes the game look old (even though it is), but when you remember playing it with this filter, you get nostalgic and think back to years gone by. So I tried to find a way to make GTA IV more graphically appealing, even with this orange/brown gray. I know some people don't like this and might find this /"improvement/" unnecessary since people usually try to get rid of this filter. But I just wanted to try it out for fun.

Anyway. How did I do all this? Well, for this purpose I just used ReShade 6.2.0 and nothing else. Using the effects it already has, I tweaked some of the settings to see what looks best.
Once ReShade was installed, the colors in GTA IV became even more muted at first, but became closer to natural colors, which forced me to experiment with some HDR and color vibration filters. I took the liberty of adding effects that improve the game's details, such as MXAO (Ambient Occlusion) and two others that make the game sharper. I almost forgot to mention that I also used SMAA as one of them and HDR saturation.
In short, it was all based on tinkering, comparing and playing. If necessary, I will show you my settings in ReShade.
