Toy dog breeds are fantastic. They are bred to be dainty, soft and fragile. Hunting dogs are bred to be the opposite. However, you don't know this. You just see a different dog.

I recommend supervising and training your Blue Lacy or other hunting dogs to play well with toy dogs. Hunting dogs can easily kill toy dogs by accident. Serious injuries can definitely occur.

To make matters worse, owners of toy breeds often find it amusing when their dogs are aggressive towards other dogs. This is a naive attitude. I recommend controlling the situation for safety reasons so that everyone is happy and healthy.
