In this video I respond to Vagelis Prokopious' video comparing a highly optimized Vert.x web server with a non-optimized Actix Web web server.
I'm optimizing Actix-Web to restore Rust's honor, but have I wasted my time? Isn't the /"real/" bottleneck the network rather than the choice of programming language?
NOTE: My explanation of how Serde Json works is purely theoretical. I have not studied the code in depth and there are probably many optimizations made in Serde_Json.
