The delivery pipeline is a central idea in continuous delivery. CI/CD pipelines organize our work and allow us to optimize our software development process. We talk a lot about CD pipelines on this channel, but what does a real continuous delivery pipeline look like in action? This is real software development in practice.

In this episode, Dave Farley shows a real delivery pipeline in action at a fintech company called TransFICC based in London. TransFICC has adopted continuous delivery from the beginning and practices it at an advanced level. Pushing frequent changes into production of a complex system, working in a regulated industry. This video tells the story and demonstrates the progress of two changes through the pipeline. One shows the simple case of a successful change and one shows the slightly more complex path of a change failing the tests in the pipeline.
