Leveling Clip Problems Solved. With many types of leveling systems, one of the main problems people run into when they remove the clips the next day is that the base of the clips don't all break properly under the tile at the base of the clip. This is caused by either thinset mortar getting into the grout lines and wedging the clip, or the tiles pinching the clips that hold them in place. In this video I show you a solution to this problem that almost completely eliminates this problem and all of your clips break as intended at the base of the tile so there are no legs sticking out above the tile.
