The collision of the Andromeda Galaxy with the Milky Way will be the most spectacular event in the history of our galaxy, and it has already begun. For the first time, astronomers have found evidence that the two galaxies have begun exchanging stars and that the halo of the Andromeda Galaxy is colliding with the halo of the Milky Way.
