YouTube's Community Guidelines determine what kind of content is and isn't allowed on YouTube. Starting today, creators will have the option to take a special training course when they receive a strike related to the Community Guidelines. After completing the course, the strike will be removed from the creator's channel—provided they don't violate the same policy for 90 days. And while creators previously received a strike for the lifetime of their channel, they will now receive individual strikes depending on which specific policy they violate when they take the training. This means more ways to learn why their content may have violated the guidelines and the ability to take multiple training courses at once. We believe this update will help the vast majority of creators create content that complies with our guidelines and help ensure YouTube remains a safe and responsible platform for everyone.
