Philosopher Henrik Syse, former Head of Corporate Governance at Norwegian Bank Investment Management, shares his insights and experiences on combining profit and ethics. Henrik Syse, Vice-Chair of the Norwegian Nobel Committee, has been a member of the Norwegian Nobel Committee since 2015. This five-member Nobel Committee, appointed by the Norwegian Parliament, is responsible for selecting suitable candidates and choosing Nobel Peace Prize winners.
Henrik is currently a research professor at the Peace Research Institute Oslo (PRIO) and editor-in-chief (with Martin L. Cook) of the Journal of Military Ethics. Previously, he was Head of Corporate Governance for Norges Bank Investment Management from 2005 to 2007 and a member of the Norwegian Press Complaints Commission from 2002 to 2016.
