The tide of mobile app security and privacy issues continues to worsen, while the skills gap widens. Security professionals have found that web app security practices are not enough for mobile devices. Because tools and methodologies differ, it's time for practitioners to learn some new skills by leveraging the OWASP Mobile Project's resources and patterns found while testing thousands of mobile apps. Biography:
As a Mobile Security Analyst at NowSecure, Tony Ramirez leads training sessions with clients and performs penetration testing of iOS and Android apps as part of the NowSecure Services team. Tony holds a master's degree in cyber forensics and security from the Illinois Institute of Technology. Tony regularly attends the OWASP chapter meetings in Chicago and speaks at OWASP and other security events across the country. Although Tony is terrible at writing biographies for himself, he is an avid food experimenter and office joker.
