Jekyll is a static site generator that turns your plain text into beautiful static websites and blogs. It can be used for a documentation site, blog, event site, or really any website you want. It's fast, secure, simple, and open source. It's also the same site generator I use to maintain my open source documentation site. Today we'll install and configure Jekyll with the Chirpy theme. We'll configure the site, create some pages with Markdown, autobuild it with a GitHub action, and even host it on GitHub Pages for FREE. If you don't want to host in the cloud, we'll show you how to host it on your own server or even in Docker.
