How to grow on Twitch?

If you want to grow your Twitch stream, it's important to be critical. Being critical is not a bad thing. People say, "Oh, don't be so critical of yourself!"

But there are many things you can control and improve, such as your visuals, audio and most importantly, the content you create. Take another look at your VOD and be honest with yourself: is it up to date? Does your mic sound good? Are you engaging? Is it easy to watch and enjoy or is there something that is off-putting? Be honest, push yourself to improve and become a better entertainer!

Because ultimately, you can only expand your stream by developing yourself and being critical in a positive way.

What bitrate and settings should I use for streaming?

The easiest way to understand bitrate is to call it what it actually is: your upload speed to the Twitch servers.

Now you will need a higher bitrate depending on how high quality you want your stream to be. This means that for 1080p 60 frames per second you will need a bitrate of 6000 which is roughly equivalent to an upload speed of 6 megabits

By lowering the resolution and frame rate, you can make streaming much easier. For example, if you set your base canvas size to 1920 x 1080 but change your output to 1280 x 720 (also known as 720p), you'll only need a bitrate of 4500, or 4.5 megabits.

If you still want 1080, you can even just lower your frame rate from 60 fps to 30 fps and then adjust to 4500 bitrate.
