Fear & Hunger is a roguelike horror JRPG that uses the classic turn-based strategic dismemberment combat system. It has countless secrets and random events that give players a new experience every time, and features original soundtracks inspired by the works of Akira Yamaoka.

While the game mechanics and graphics, as well as the previously mentioned songs, inspire people to try the game day and night, it's the incredible replay value that keeps people coming back to the series, whether it's due to a different starting character or a different build that increases your strength early in the game, while there are a few difficult spikes near the obstacles at the end of the game.
It's no surprise that knowledge is what gets a player through the game, so the more you know about the many enemies you'll face, the easier it will be to recognize things like this as simple challenges, all the way up to not saving once during an entire playthrough.
The amount of knowledge that both games (Fear and Hunger – Fear and Hunger 2: Termina) impart to the player sticks in the player's brain, causing them to be unable to return to a state where they didn't know how to approach situations. This is both an advantage and a weakness of the game, because once you properly know how to tackle a prison guard, for example, you don't have the advantage of solving his puzzle fight.
Each individual monster is a puzzle and it is up to the player to find the answer blindly.
Prison guards’ battle:
The question still remains for the players… Which limb should be removed first?
Is it the arm? (Will the prison guard grab me in the first round?)
Is it the arm with the knife? (Will it cut my arm or will he do it in the second round?)
Is the stinger the real threat? (Perhaps it is not just for decoration, but has a specific purpose?)
Once you figure out how to properly defeat such enemies, you will progress further and even learn to avoid them without having to fight a single enemy throughout the entire game.
