If you write a lot of shell scripts, using a linter like Shellcheck is a great experience. You'll avoid embarrassing mistakes, write more idiomatic Bash/sh, and learn the intricacies of your shell's features much faster.

And best of all: Shellcheck is free software and can be easily integrated into your favorite text editor.
