NIST develops and tests biometric standards and technologies (e.g., fingerprint, face, iris, and multimodal data) that promote security, interoperability, and innovation. Four projects (in collaboration with DHS and FBI) are highlighted: MBARK – Resource Kit for Multimodal Biometric Applications, Biometric Usability, Latent Fingerprint Testing, and Biometric Image Quality.
