Kerberos is explained in easy-to-understand terms with intuitive diagrams, starting with a high-level overview and then taking a detailed look at all the messages exchanged between the user, the authentication server, the ticket granting server and the service. Including the message content, the authenticators, the encryption used and the validation performed to achieve mutual authentication.
