Forbes, Entrepreneur, Huffington Post. Guest posts, do you think it's worth it?

You know what? If so, just leave a comment saying "yes." If not, leave a comment saying "no."

Today I will share with you what I have learned from writing over 1,000 guest posts.

That's right.

I have written over 1,000 guest posts.

Yes, that hasn't happened in the last year. It took me many, many years to build everything up, but I've written over 1,000 blog posts in English alone.

That's a lot of content! Is it worth it?

I don't do it anymore, so you're probably saying no. But you know what, I'll tell you the answer, and it's a little more complicated than just a yes or no answer.

If you are in the B2C niche, guest posting is not worth it because the traffic and business it generates is so low that your revenue is not enough to justify the time spent.

On the other hand, for B2B it is worthwhile and you can earn a lot of money.

I'm talking about millions of dollars.

I can even give you an example of how I was successful with guest posting, but it's not what you think. You can't just publish one or two guest posts and be successful.

When I first started guest posting, I wrote one or two articles a week and assumed I would get a lot of business just from that.

Guess how much business I got from this?

Little to nothing.

But what happened after a year or two to all my articles on social media marketing, SEO, link building and digital marketing at Entrepreneur, Inc. and Forbes?

They rose in Google search results and the articles enjoyed enormous popularity.

I didn't do anything. They just naturally rise in the rankings over time.

Companies would see these articles and contact me.

I got business deals through it. I didn't get $1,000 deals. Of course those leads came, but I got six-figure deals, and it was great, all because of my guest posts.

I have written more guest posts than most.

I had a team that helped me manage my entire guest posting schedule. I had editors that helped me. Just because I wrote the articles didn't mean I could edit them and add images fast enough.

Eventually I was working so hard that I was publishing a guest post every day, seven days a week. And they were short articles.

I shortened the articles to 700 words or 1,000 words and then churned them out in streams, and some of the topics were rehashed.

I would publish similar articles on Entrepreneur and Forbes.

I didn't care.

There was no duplicate content.

I would rewrite it and make it unique enough, but I made it so I could achieve quantity.

After a year or two, business picked up, but in the short term it was a huge waste of time and a financial loss.

That's the point of guest posting: you should do it to build authority, make a name for yourself, and generate business.

After the first year you will see first results.

After two years, you will have mastered the industry, start doing business, and be able to earn a seven-figure income.

You build a business by becoming an authority in your field.

I give 20,000 lectures because people read my articles.

If you want to do that, do it, but do it for two years straight. And you have to write at least five articles a week.

Doing a few here and there won't make any difference.

Follow these strategies and you will make a lot of money from guest posting, assuming you are in the B2B space.

If you are in B2C, don't waste your time.

If you're not sure what type of articles to guest post, leave a comment below and I'll give you some advice.

Good luck with your guest post.
