Here's what you need to know to get started:
Choose whether you want to specialize in web or mobile UI. I recommend you learn mobile first.
Choose between iOS or Android, depending on what you want to learn first.
Make sure you only select genuine apps (see Mobbin)
When tracing, pay close attention to how the iOS/Material guidelines are reflected in your designs. You need to know the UI guidelines or you will always end up creating designs that cannot be shipped live.
Design the screen and the screens before and after it.
Focus on declaring styles, types and components. Your framework should not be a stack of separate layers.
Complete the entire challenge by collaboratively prototyping the three screens, remembering to add the slide and scroll interactions.
Your end result should feel as real as possible.
Take the challenge for 100 days. Track 3 screens daily and finish with a prototype. Document your progress and make sure you have a well-organized Figma file with 100 days of prototyping results.
