If you don't know my channel, my name is Alex Hormozi. I'm the founder and managing partner of Acquisition.com. It's a family office, which is just a formal way of saying we invest our own money in companies. Our 10 portfolio companies raise over $200,000,000 annually. Our ownership varies from 20% to 100%. How I got here…

21: Graduated from Vanderbilt University with honors after 3 years and accepted a great consulting job.
23 years old: Left my amazing consulting job to start a business (a gym).
24 years old: 5 gym locations opened.
26 years old: Sixth gym closed. Everything lost.
26 years old: Started opening gyms again (opened 33). Then I lost everything a second time.
26 years old: Out of desperation, I started the licensing model as a last resort. It worked.
27 years old: /"Gym Launch/" makes $3 million in profit over the next 6 months. Then $17 million in profit over the next 12 months.
28 years old: Founded Prestige Labs. 20 million dollars in the first year.
Age 29: Founded ALAN, a software company for agency lead processing. Scaled to $1.7 million in 6 months.
31 years old: Sold 75% of UseAlan to a strategic buyer in an all-stock deal.
31 years old: Sold 66% of Gym Launch & Prestige Labs to American Pacific Group for $46.2 million in cash. (You can google it)
Age 31: Founded our family office, Acquisition.com. We invest in and grow companies using the $42 million in distributions and the $46.2 million in exit money.
32 years old: Started creating free content on how we grow businesses to make real business education accessible to everyone and to encourage entrepreneurs to invest or grow their businesses.
34 years old: I became co-owner of https://Skool.com to help the many people who want to start an online business.

Today: Our portfolio now has $200 million/year across 10 companies. The largest company generates $100 million/year, the smallest $5 million per year. Our ownership in the companies varies from 20% to 100%. Many of them we invested in early and helped them grow (that's how we make our money – not YouTube videos).

To all gladiators in the arena: We are all writing our own stories. The worse the monsters, the more epic the story.
