Recently, I was working in a partnership in the event management business. We were new in the market and had no capital to start the business. We were working on starting a music festival in central India. I am from the city of Indore. It is the commercial capital of India and I found that there is a lot of potential for a music festival in this region as there is no competition in this sector. We tried to find sponsorship from larger companies whose products are targeted at youth as music festivals are targeted at youth. However, we could not generate funds from this. I thought maybe we were new in this market and that is why companies were not sponsoring us.

Then we approached local businessmen for sponsorship but that didn't work either. So finally I planned to do something off the beaten track. I wanted to take a 20% loan for the event and ask bigger companies to give their names for free for the sponsorships so that other companies would also sponsor us. Then I dropped that idea because I didn't know if it was ethical or not and if it would work or not. Please help me with this if you can. I would learn more from your articles.
