In this video, you will learn how to fix the "Cannot display this video mode" issue by changing the computer display input on your PC/laptop/tablet to 1280×1024@60Hz. This solution/workaround works on most recent Windows Operating Systems (Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1, Windows 10, recent Windows Server versions, includes all 32-bit and 64-bit versions in this list) and monitors (Dell/HP/AOC/Lenovo, Acer, Asus, Viewsonic, BenQ, Philips). We will use Advanced Startup Options in Windows to fix this issue/error (This video mode cannot be displayed, change the computer display input to 1920×1080@60Hz, 1366×768@60Hz, 1024×768@60Hz, 1680×1050@60Hz, 1600×1200@60Hz, 1440×900@60Hz, 1280×1024@60Hz, 1600×900@60Hz). If you are having trouble entering Advanced Startup Mode, go to the following link for different methods – https://www.lifewire.com/how-to-access-advanced-startup-options-in-windows-10-or-8-2626229
You can also try a different port (another HDMI/DVI/VGA port if available) to see if it works or not. If you are using a dedicated graphics card, you can connect to the integrated graphics/motherboard and fix the issue. Make sure you are using the correct monitor resolution/video resolution.
