Adobe After Effects CC 2024: How to edit the position of guides

The purpose of this quick tip is to show you that you can manually edit the position of ruler guides added to your composition in Adobe After Effects CC 2024.

Keyboard shortcut:Show rulers: Cmd/Ctrl R

To add guides in After Effects:
1. Go to the View menu at the top
2. Click on “Show Rulers” or use the keyboard shortcut Cmd/Ctrl R
3. Click the vertical or horizontal ruler and drag out a guideline.

How to edit the position of guides
1. Right-click on a guide line
2. Click on “Edit position”
3. Enter the value (0.0 is placed in the top left center)
4. Tap Enter/Return
