Your computer's firewall is designed to prevent unauthorized access to your computer or network by malware and hackers. However, sometimes your firewall can block access to an app or connection you want to make. You can temporarily disable your firewall to allow access to an app or connection you want to make. Note that disabling your firewall puts you at significant risk of unauthorized access to your computer or network and attacks by hackers.
