Do you want to create a coupon popup in WordPress? These coupon popups are a great way to convert your website visitors into paying customers. There are several ways to create a coupon popup, but displaying the coupon at the right time can make a huge difference in converting bounced visitors into customers. In this guide, we will show you how to create a coupon popup in WordPress.

This video is brought to you by OptinMonster, the best lead generation plugin available. Check out their site here:

For this tutorial, we will use OptinMonster to create two types of coupon popups. One is a regular popup and the other is a wheel of fortune coupon.

First, visit OptinMonster's site to create an account, then install and activate the WordPress plugin to make sure you add the popups to your site.

Log in to OptinMonster's website and click the "Create New Campaign" button. For this first campaign, we will create a popup campaign. There are many types of pre-made styles to choose from and preview, but for this we will use the coupon template. Then, set the specific website where you want to load the popup.

Customize text, colors, and anything else you want to customize. There are plenty of customization options available. We didn't go through everything in this video so as not to overwhelm new users. Make sure to save the changes in the popup, then decide which method you want to use to pass on the coupon code.

We recommend sending it via OptinMonster's Success View and via email newsletters so the user has multiple chances to remember the coupon code. By default, the Success View should be used, but you have the option to change this in the button settings.

For Exit Intent, you'll need to go to the Display Rules tab to customize when the popup appears. We want to change it to "Exit Detected" and in the next step, you'll want it to remain an opt-in. Finally, on the Publish tab, you'll want to set the opt-in as Live so it appears on your site based on your settings instead of remaining a draft.

Now when you log into your WordPress site with the OptinMonster plugin installed, you can go to your campaigns and enable the campaign in the plugin, as well as decide who should see the campaign when they visit your site.

To create a Spin to Win campaign, we create a new campaign and set it as full screen. We can filter the options and we want to select one of the wheel templates.

The template allows you to choose different colors for each section of the wheel and edit the probability of each section appearing. You can customize when and how it appears. Once you have all of this set, you can publish the option and make it visible on your website for your visitors.
