# How to install an aftermarket rear view camera
Step 1: Make sure the vehicle is turned off.
Step 2: Connect the rear view camera male RCA cable to the RCA camera VIN cable on our head unit.
Step 3: Plug the 10-pin RCA camera VIN cable into the back of the radio.
Step 4: Connect the camera's reversing signal line to our G5 reverse/backup detection line, the rear camera view will be activated automatically when your car is reversing.

Connect the positive cable of the camera to the positive cable of the light and the negative cable of the camera to the negative cable of the reversing light.
You can then test whether the camera can display a screen on the head unit.
Step 6: If the camera image appears black, you need to change the camera format setting.
