Transcript: Never steal a manual car again. Let's see what happens inside when you lift off the clutch pedal. A manual clutch system has two discs. One is a moving disc connected to the engine, and the second disc is a static disc connected to the wheels. Why do many people find their engines stall and jerk when they start moving? The moving disc grabs when it makes contact with the stationary disc. If you don't release the clutch pedal properly, the transfer of power from the engine to the wheels will be abrupt. The difficult part is matching the engine speed to the speed of your intended move. You must release the clutch pedal upwards gently to transfer power smoothly from the engine to the wheels and avoid sudden forward acceleration.
Practice a lot if you want to master the clutch control of a manual transmission and drive safely!
