This The Binding of Isaac documentary details the development of the indie game The Binding of Isaac and takes a behind-the-scenes look at its creation. Learn about indie developer Edmund McMillen and what inspired him to create his first roguelike after the success of his previous game, Super Meat Boy. The documentary covers the entire development, from the original The Binding of Isaac to the latest DLC titled Repentance, and examines all of the design decisions Edmund made and why he set Isaac up for failure.

In addition, it also highlights all the problems that Edmund and his co-developer Florian Himsl faced during the development of Isaac, which began during a relaxed game jam. For example, the original Isaac was created entirely in Flash, which led to numerous technical issues to get it running properly on PC. Finally, the documentary takes a look into the future to see what else The Binding of Isaac has in store and when we can expect a sequel to the successful roguelike.
